Troubleshooting Windows 11 Installation Error 0x8024001e

If you encounter error code 0x8024001e while trying to install Windows 11, you can follow these steps to resolve it:

  1. Restart your PC: A simple restart may resolve the issue.
  2. Verify your internet connection: Ensure your internet connection is stable and not hindering the installation process.
  3. Temporarily disable antivirus software: Your antivirus might be interfering with the installation. Try disabling it and attempt the installation again.
  4. Use the Windows Update troubleshooter: Windows includes a built-in troubleshooter that can detect and fix problems with Windows Update. To use it, navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Windows Update.
  5. Clear the Windows Update cache: The update cache can become corrupted and disrupt installations. To clear it, open Command Prompt as an administrator and execute the following commands:

    a. Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
    b. Type msconfig and hit Enter.
    c. In the System Configuration window, select the Services tab and check Hide all Microsoft services.
    d. Click Disable all.
    e. Go to the Startup tab and open Task Manager.
    f. Disable all startup items.
    g. Close Task Manager and click OK in the System Configuration window.
    h. Restart your PC and attempt the installation once more.
